Looking for an experienced proofreader to help with your files? Thanks so much for considering my proofreading services. The steps below explain how to begin the process of working with me.
Step 1: contact me to make sure i’m accepting new clients
If you’re interested in working with me, use the contact form below to make sure I’m available to proofread for you. If you’ve been referred by one of my wonderful clients, please tell me which one.
step 2: if I’m available, i’ll invite you to the client portal
If I’m accepting new clients, I’ll invite you to my client portal, where you’ll complete (1) an onboarding questionnaire and (2) a client preferences form. Proofreading can begin only when I’ve accepted you as a new client and those two forms have been completed.
step 3: send me a file to proofread
Use the link in the client portal to upload your file and the job details (turnaround date/time). Please send the file in PDF format.
step 4: proofreading begins
For a first project, I may check in early if I notice anything unusual that could affect the proofreading process or turnaround time. Otherwise, I’ll continue as planned.
step 5: I’ll create a screencast recording if needed
If any of my corrections require a verbal explanation, I’ll create a brief screencast recording.
step 6: I’ll return the corrections on time
I’ll return the corrected transcript by the agreed-upon deadline.
step 7: provide feedback for me if needed
After you receive the corrected transcript, please follow up with any questions or feedback. I value your feedback and will use it to provide an even better experience for you next time.
step 8: I’ll send you an invoice
If this is the first time we've worked together, I’ll send you an invoice (due upon receipt) after sending you the corrected transcript. If you’re an established client, I’ll send your invoice on the first of each month. More billing procedures are explained on this page.
