Methods

file submission process

Existing clients should use the Airtable Form link in the Client Portal to submit files. New clients who are interested in working with me should follow the instructions on the New Client Process page. If a new or existing client has a question before submitting a file to be proofed, feel free to contact me.

Billing

For new clients, upon completion of the first transcript corrections, I will send the invoice via email. Existing clients are billed on the first day of each month.

Payment is due within 21 days of receipt. I reserve the right to add late fees to invoices that are not paid on time.

Transcript Format

To ensure a smooth proofreading process and timely turnaround, please submit your transcript in PDF format. I also accept .txt and ASCII files, but PDF format is preferred.

Corrections

Corrections will be marked in red text and yellow highlights. I also create brief screencast recordings to explain my corrections if needed.

Unless you prefer otherwise, I will return only the annotated pages of the transcript to you. Please let me know your preference on the Client Preferences Form. Some of the texts that I reference during the proofreading process are Morson’s English Guide for Court ReportersThe Gregg Reference Manual, and resources from Margie Wakeman Wells.
