Inaugural Blog Post
Even though the On the Dot Proofreading website has been live since the summer of 2016, this is its inaugural blog post. Break out the streamers and the noisemakers! Let’s celebrate!
If you’ve stumbled upon this post, you are likely a current or prospective proofreading client, a fellow proofreader, a classroom teacher, or simply a lover of the English language. Whatever the case, you are welcome here!
Until now, this website has served as a way to let the world know about my proofreading services. For the most part, it has been a static site. However, it has always been my desire to make it a helpful, frequently updated resource for language lovers.
What you can expect from this blog:
language discoveries
productivity tips
inspiring quotes that I’ve discovered during my reading
tools that I use in my proofreading process and in life to make things easier
mini lessons about errors that I see frequently
It is my hope that this blog will be more than a one-sided conversation. I welcome your comments, your feedback, and your suggestions. Let’s work together to make this an interesting, thought-provoking spot!
